Sales Lead Creditd... NOT!

I read a post on a contractor site, where there was general complaints regarding sales lead that were acquired that were not viable for one reason or another. A call to the customer service department got a sympathetic response and a promise to credit the contractor for the sales lead... then nothing happened. No amount of calling thereafter was able to get the sales lead credited. I found that to be incomprehensible. A credit for a bad sales lead costs nothing and generates (or keeps) customer good will. Why would a sales lead generation company risk their reputation by being unresponsive? Is this a case of bad customer service or management arrogance?

Welcome to the Internet Sales Lead Generation Blog. The purpose of this site is to share the good, the bad and the ugly regarding the use of internet based sales lead generation on the internet for Contractors who seek to provide services to Homeowners. There are 3 parties who share an interest in this service:

1. The Contractor who seeks active service requests from homeowners.
2. The Homeowner who wants to reach Contractors to perform desired services.
3. The developers who create and maintain sales lead generation web sites.

All 3 parties have an interest in using a sales lead generation web site to satisfy their needs, but want a service that respects their privacy, doesn't expose the homeowner to a flood of calls, provides responses from licensed contractors, provides contractors with timely requests from homeowners and quickly compensates contractors for defective sales leads.

I would like to read about Contractor and Homeowner experiences and positive suggestions about how to provide a legitimate, fairly priced service.
